This site is about Surviving Child Abuse. And it's about Surviving beyond the abuse. Some parents see their children as the apples of their eyes, some
don't. Some children grow up in loving homes, others are battered and abused.
Apples for Eyes
reveals hidden sorrows and joys of a battered and abused child. It also reveals ways in which child abuse permeates the survivor's life far beyond
the abuse, and how some continue surviving.
Apples for Eyes
is an autobiographical collection of poetry that covers more than half a century in the life of a child abuse survivor. Most of these poems were written in the time of their
occurance, beginning with the age of twelve. Others were written looking back on feelings and events. All are reality.
